Serengeti Hot Air Balloon Safari

A hot air balloon flight is one of the most memorable ways to see the Serengeti. You are collected from your lodge or camp before dawn and driven to the launch site, where the balloons are inflated as the sky turns gold.

Once airborne, the pilot follows the wind low over the grasslands and river valleys, giving you a bird’s-eye view of herds of wildebeest and zebra, giraffes moving between the acacias and, with luck, lions returning from the night’s hunt.

After landing, the flight ends with a traditional toast and a full breakfast served in the bush, before your guide collects you to continue your game drive for the rest of the day.
